This is a pattern for an adorable little pumpkin that serves a very important purpose!  If you see a Teal Pumpkin on someone's porch while trick-or-treating it symbolizes a house with a non-food or allergy safe option for the little munchkins with life threatening allergies and/or diseases. These kids didn't choose to be born with allergies, and they just want to dress up and have fun like everyone else.

This is a really fast pattern, using bulky yarn and size 10 dpn's should only take an hour or two depending on how fast you knit. Because of its relatively plain design, you can really customize it, add trinkets, words, or just use it as a beautiful decoration in your house.

Its a great item to have around to spark conversation with friends, and hopefully will inspire them to get one of their own.
